Butterflies are EVERYWHERE, I kid you not. Walking through stores such as Zara or H&M, I can not take my eyes off of the excessive butterfly prints! They're gorgeous and a continual source of inspiration for zesty moi. After all, butterflies need sweet pollen to survive, it's probably why I love them so much, they are legit sugar monsters. Splenda doesn't fool them!
In all seriousness, I simply love how light and aery a butterfly can be. Neither energy nor effort is needed in order to lift a butterfly. It is fragile and delicate and doesn't seem affected by it's problematic surroundings. In fact, their wings change color based on the level of pollution in their living environment. It is a carefree being that is able to evade all sources of negativity in its life. Maybe I too will be able to fly away and forget all my problems?
So I'll leave you with a picture dump of butterflies, my favorite bug for the reasons I have listed above. As you can see by the runway pictures, McQueen was one of the many designers that was highly influenced by the beauty and the geometric patterns found on butterflies.
I will also leave you with the tackiest yet one of the most addictive songs ever, "Butterfly" by Crazy Town. It gives me hope that I too will be able to find some corny and stereotyped relationship.
